A lightweight summer crochet top with an elegant crossover back.
This modern crochet top is made from six diamond-shaped motifs that are joined together as you work, creating beautiful V-shaped lines without any sewing.
The sample features a deep V-neckline and narrow shoulder straps. Wear the straps crossed at the back for the signature crossover design, or tie them behind the neck to create a halter top with an open back.
The pattern is highly adjustable and can easily be customised to suit your own style. Simply change the size of the motifs, the strap width or the strap length to create your perfect fit.
Although designed for Lang Yarns Linello or WoolAddicts Pride, any yarn can be used provided your gauge and motif measurements are correct.
This pattern is written using UK crochet terminology throughout.

Choose your size according to your bust measurement, the top is designed to fit snugly across the bust.
If you need a smaller size than Size 1, simply use a smaller hook or begin each motif with fewer foundation chains.
If you prefer a slightly flared silhouette, use a larger hook for the lower motifs before returning to your normal hook size for the upper motifs.
The width of one completed motif × 6 = your bust measurement.

The shoulder straps are adjustable, allowing you to customise the overall length.
