A large, featherlight triangular shawl that feels as much like a beautiful accessory as a wonderfully warm wrap. A generously sized shawl that feels almost weightless to wear.

The Advokatens Shawl is one of my most loved designs and one of the yarn kits I have sold the most over the years.

It is knitted holding one strand of luxurious 100% cashmere together with one strand of Lang Yarns Mohair Luxe, creating a surprisingly large shawl that weighs almost nothing.

That unique combination is what makes this design so special.

Soft, airy and beautifully drapey, the shawl can be wrapped several times around your neck on chilly days or worn loosely over your shoulders on cool summer evenings or while relaxing at home. Despite its generous size, it feels almost weightless.

Colour is an important part of the design. The yarns may look bold and contrasting when you see them separately, but as they are knitted together the colours blend into one another, creating soft, harmonious transitions.

The shawl is knitted from tip to tip, making it an enjoyable project where the colours gradually evolve as you knit.

The pattern is also available as a yarn kit, but you can, of course, knit it using other yarns if you prefer.

If you substitute the cashmere with another wool yarn, the shawl will still be beautiful, but it will not have the same exceptional lightness and elegant drape that only cashmere can provide.
