Pirkko’s Wrist Warmers Knitting Pattern PDF
An easy one-ball DK knitting pattern for soft and comfortable wrist warmers – the perfect weekend project.
Sometimes the simplest projects become the ones you use the most.
Pirkko’s Wrist Warmers are named after my mother, Pirkko, who was born in Finnish Lapland in 1940. Growing up, she knitted everything she possibly could. Old garments were unravelled and knitted into something new, and she became incredibly skilled at recreating designs simply by studying photographs.
One day I handed her a ball of Lang Yarns Merino 120 and asked if she could knit a pair of wrist warmers.
The result was these timeless, comfortable wrist warmers.
Designed in DK weight yarn, they are quick to knit and only require one ball of yarn, making them an ideal stash-busting project when you have a single ball waiting to be used.
They are soft, practical and comfortable to wear, whether you need a little extra warmth indoors, on your morning walk or while knitting on chilly evenings.
Because the pattern uses one of the most common yarn weights available, you can easily substitute almost any DK yarn you already have at home.
A relaxing knitting project that’s just as enjoyable for beginners as for experienced knitters.
