Shimmer Hoodie Knitting Pattern PDF

Knitting pattern for a soft and luxurious hoodie worked with two strands of Mohair Luxe – a warm winter version of the Shimmer Sweater.

The Shimmer Hoodie is based on the same construction as the Shimmer Sweater, but here I chose to knit it with two strands of Langyarns Mohair Luxe and added a large, cosy hood.

When I designed the Shimmer Sweater, my idea was to create a light linen sweater for summer with a beautiful V-neck at both the front and the back. The Shimmer Hoodie became the winter version – just as relaxed and easy to wear, but warmer, softer, and with a completely different look.

Although generously sized, the sweater is surprisingly lightweight. Two strands of Mohair Luxe create a soft halo, beautiful drape, and a garment that feels wonderfully soft against the skin. Wear it directly over bare skin or layer it over a thin sweater when the weather turns colder.

The large hood is knitted by picking up stitches around the neckline and working back and forth. The hood is constructed in the same way as on the Mohair Hoodie Vest, but this design gives you a complete sweater with long sleeves.

This is the kind of sweater you’ll want to wrap yourself in throughout autumn and winter. Light, warm and incredibly soft – just the way I believe a beautiful mohair garment should feel.
