The Shirley Mittens are knitted from one ball of LANGYARNS SHIRLEY. They are very simple to knit and only take a few hours to make. Both mittens are knitted exactly the same. When you put them on, they naturally mould to your hands, creating a right and a left mitten.

The ribbed cuff is knitted on afterwards in a smooth merino yarn, LANGYARNS Merino 120. The smooth merino creates a lovely contrast to the Shirley yarn and gives the mittens a snug fit around the wrist.

Beskrivning

Langyarns Shirley Mittens

Yarn: LANGYARNS SHIRLEY (45% superfine alpaca, 45% fine merino, 10% nylon. 50 g = 45 m)

+ LANGYARNS Merino 120 (100% merino wool. 50 g = 130 m)

Yarn required: 1 ball of each yarn

Merino 120 is held double for the cuff. You can also use another smooth merino yarn of a similar thickness.

Needles:

8 mm double-pointed needles for the mitten
5.5 mm double-pointed needles for the ribbed cuff

Tension:

10 sts = 10 cm in stocking stitch with Shirley on 8 mm needles.
