Another Day Sweater is one of those sweaters that always feels just right.

I love wearing mine over a simple camisole or tank top when the temperature changes throughout the day. The deep V-neck keeps it feeling light and airy, while the soft suri alpaca provides just the right amount of warmth when the sun disappears behind the clouds or the evening turns cool.

The original sweater is knitted in Mia’s SURI, my own soft and fluffy suri alpaca yarn that gives the sweater its beautiful drape and lightweight feel. If Mias SURI isn’t available where you live, you can easily substitute it with another fluffy yarn that matches the recommended gauge, such as Wooladdicts Honor or a similar yarn.

Matching the gauge is more important than using the exact yarn.

One of the features that makes this sweater a little different is its construction. It is worked flat from the lower front hem, over the shoulders and down the back in one piece, creating a seamless shoulder construction. The shaping requires a little attention with increases and decreases, making it an enjoyable project for knitters who like something a little more interesting than a basic sweater.

The side seams are sewn to your preferred length, allowing you to customise the fit. You can also choose different front and back lengths or leave side vents for an even more relaxed look.

With its loose silhouette, Another Day Sweater looks just as lovely with jeans and linen trousers as it does layered over a summer dress. It’s one of those sweaters you’ll happily pack in your suitcase and reach for again and again.
