Cashmere Colour Cardigan is the more tailored sister to my Classic Cashmere Cardigan.

It features a timeless, gently fitted silhouette with set-in sleeves and knitted button bands, giving the cardigan a refined and elegant look. Knit it in one colour for a classic wardrobe staple, or have fun combining colours to create a beautiful striped version.

The original design is knitted in 100% Italian cashmere—an incredibly soft, lightweight and wonderfully warm yarn. Cashmere has a unique ability to feel luxurious without being heavy, and it becomes even softer with wear.

The cardigan is worked flat from the bottom up on circular needles. At the armholes, the fronts and back are completed separately. The sleeves are knitted in the round and then sewn in, creating beautifully shaped shoulders and a classic tailored fit. The knitted button bands and neckline complete the cardigan with a polished finish.

Compared to my Classic Cashmere Cardigan, this pattern is a little more advanced and is perfect for knitters who enjoy traditional garment construction or would like to develop their knitting skills.

This is a cardigan you’ll wear for years to come—equally beautiful with jeans for everyday wear or layered over a dress for a more elegant occasion.
