Mohair Luxe Long Cardigan is the most luxurious long cardigan I’ve designed when knitted in the original yarn, two strands of Lang Yarns Mohair Luxe.

This beautiful blend of superkid mohair and silk creates a cardigan with a soft halo, a subtle sheen and an elegant drape that is difficult to recreate with any other yarn.

It’s the kind of cardigan that looks just as lovely with jeans and a simple top as it does layered over a dress for a more elegant occasion. Light as a cloud yet surprisingly warm, it quickly becomes one of those garments you’ll reach for throughout the year.

Like my Mia’s SURI Long Cardigan, the fronts and back are worked as one continuous piece, creating a seamless shoulder construction. The result is a soft, comfortable cardigan that stays beautifully on your shoulders without slipping backwards.

Wear it however you like. Leave it open, tie it with a belt, add large statement buttons, small press studs or discreet hooks and eyes. Its simple, timeless design makes it easy to personalise and style in your own way.

The original cardigan is knitted in two strands of Mohair Luxe, but you can also substitute it with another fluffy yarn that matches the recommended gauge. Matching the gauge is more important than using the exact yarn. However, the original yarn gives the cardigan a unique lightness, softness and luxurious appearance that is difficult to replicate.
