An oversized mohair sweater where colours take on a life of their own.

The Valparaiso Sweater is named after the colourful harbour city of Valparaíso in Chile – a place where houses climb the hillsides, vibrant street art covers the walls, music fills the streets and creativity is everywhere.

That is exactly the feeling I wanted to capture when designing this sweater.

The sweater is knitted holding four strands of Mohair Luxe together. Throughout the project, you gradually replace one strand at a time with a new colour. This creates beautifully soft colour transitions and an organic fabric where no two sweaters will ever be exactly alike.

It’s like painting with yarn.

Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour. The pattern guides you through the colour-blending technique, helping you create harmonious combinations while giving every sweater its own unique personality.

Despite its generous oversized fit, the airy mohair makes the sweater surprisingly lightweight. Soft, warm and wonderfully comfortable, it’s a piece you’ll reach for throughout much of the year.

The Valparaiso Sweater is worked as a long oversized style with gentle waist shaping. The shaping is optional and can easily be omitted if you prefer a straighter silhouette.
